No. At least in the past major updates from Studio One, you can retain the down level Rev. I still have versions, 2, 3, and currently 4, so I wouldn't expect that has changed. Just be sure to install to a new folder which Studio One does typically by default. All of your plugs and instruments will be found. Though you may have to load any scripts to the new release. That's just a matter of copying, and pasting them in to the same script folder.

It's got an incredible amount of depth which I why I sprung for just that option, as does the Vibraphone SC VSTi I also purchased from Soniccouture for the exact same reasons, I've identified that as the vibraphone sound I've always wanted and know I'll use. Since I'm not dropping money on S1 V6 till they discount the non-Sphere update, my big remaining BF decision is whether to spend $99 to upgrade from Arturia V-Collection 8 to 9. The reason not to do it is that if I can't write and record all sorts of songs based around the thousands of sounds in V8, I should be lined up and shot. Reasons to do it include it looks like Arturia has really beefed up the piano sounds, included a Prophet VS and a few other niceties, and has thrown in all sorts of combination sounds ... and I really like the company and would like to support it.
