Hi everyone,

I can't say I'm an expert, even close with Studio One. I own the Professional version and purchased the Version 4.0. I've since had a few free updates/upgrades but the most current version I have installed is the 4.6.2.58729. I thought the 5.1 upgrade was automatic when one clicks the "Check for Updates". But it's not updating. I'm reading in Studio One News Feed it's "free to owners of Studio One 5 Artist and Professional." What does one need to do update to the newest level? Thanks everyone! :)

You have to purchase the 5.0 upgrade from 4. 5.1 is only free for people with 5.0. 5.0 isn't free for people with a 4 version, but you can get it at an upgrade cost if you own 4. Presonus store has it, as well as just about every other online store like Sweetwater and Guitar Center. Just make sure you get the Upgrade from 4 Professional version and not the full version, or you will be paying more than you need to.

Let me ask you, does version 4 have a 32 bit installer?

The question is, is it worth upgrading at all from v4 now, or should I still be waiting for v5 to be stable (or stable-er)? I have to say there's nothing in v5 that I can't possibly live without, but I still would like to keep up to the lastest version.

Black Friday sales are very soon.
You can buy.it, and install it next to V4 and then decide when you want to use V5 yourself.

Just remember to backup all your projects before you move to V5, it's a one way trip. Generally a good idea to finish off your projects before you move to the next version of you can.

Intel i9 9900K (Gigabyte Z390 DESIGNARE motherboard), 32GB RAM, EVGA Geforce 1070 (Nvidia drivers).
Dell Inspiron 7591 (2 in 1) 16Gb.
Studio One Pro 6.x, Windows 11 Pro 64 bit, also running it on Mac OS Catalina via dual boot (experimental).
Presonus Quantum 2626, Presonus Studio 26c, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Faderport Classic (1.45), Atom SQ, Atom Pad, Maschine Studio, Octapad SPD-30, Roland A300, a number of hardware synths.

Hi, I just upgraded to V5, do I need to redownload all the soundsets or will the V5 use the same soundset as V4?
