I have just got a used Dell Precision 7530 to use with StudioOne. I have tweaked the usual things for performance but the DPC Latency is peaking at over 2000.

It appears there is a lot of talk that Dell, and other, laptops have this issue. It always seems to be the acpi driver. Following a suggestion on the web, I have tried uninstalling the Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework and it brings the latency right down (Max of 300)

My question is, is it safe to uninstall this? I don't want to get the laptop! Also are there any other real disadvantages?
