Manged to get Ableton ReWire instrument to bring in audio from Ableton no worries. But struggling with MIDI. Ableton doesn't see Studio One when they're loaded together and S1 has the Ableton ReWire instrument open.

Maybe there a more powerful program specifically for MIDI app to app than ReWire?

(4.6.1/Mac Catalina).

I use my 8 port midi interface with a patch cable to run midi between cubase and S1.

Think you can do that with virtual midi ports also.

1. Add an Instrument Track in S1 and select the REWIRE category, then REAPER then select your MIDI PORT input and output as REAPER
2. Set Ableton to sync to external MTC or midi clock if it does that
3. S1 HAS to be the Master for MTC sync

4.. Working fine here with Reaper as Rewire Slave

So it only works if S1 is master. But I need Ableton to be master. ReWire works for audio with S1 sa slave, and it sends accepts Abletons's Midi clock for tempo sync. It should accept Midi notes no?
