The presets in PSO Classic Orchestra section seem to mirror the instruments in the Classic orchestra.

I have loaded a selection from each and the both look and sound identical.

It's probably me doing something wrong.....

I have these 3 soundsets too. 8-)

There are YouTube tutorials on what and how they do their thing.
They may look essentially the same but they have different styles and modes.

I'd also recommend reading the PDF that comes with them. ;)

Thanks for replying.

I have downloaded and read the ten page pdf and watched the videos, but i cannot seem to find the difference between those sets in the image.

I will re watch the videos and re read the pdf, as i have probably missed something, but i cannot see what, as all the articulations and and sounds are identical.

I will investigate.....

It could be you have a valid issue.

I haven't used them for a bit but it might be because some have 'modifiers' while the other 'identical' looking patch doesn't.

The 'modifier' range are keys on the left with red marked above them... holding either one down invokes more sound options.

Good point - ill check, thanks

_______________________Update

Just checked and it gets stranger.

I checked between a selection of preset and classic and the articulations were the same, but the sample/file size was bigger in one of the sets, 3-4 mb.

With the choirs, there was a difference in size and a slight difference in reverb, not a noticeable difference in sound though.

I have raised a ticket as it looks to me as though one set is just a later set than the other, so i'll wait until they get back to see what they say

I usually use the Soundset folder to get stuff, and when i look there, and that's when the PSO has the weird preset folder.

If i look on the instrument tab and look under Presence at the available sounds, then the PSO shows up without the preset folder and looks great :-)

Still odd though, but I'm happy :-)

Really sounds like a bug you ought to officially report.

And if it's not a bug, maybe we'll get some explanation/documentation.
