The simple fact that I have ALL the versions available for download from my account ANYTIME I need them.

No having to store them locally and take up space, no need to PM support for a link to download past versions and waste time.

I currently have THREE versions on my HD here. This is NICE :+1

Unless you have used Cubase you haven't an appreciation for this

Yeah, I found out about this when support instructed me to reinstall. I was on 4.5.5 and 4.6 was out. I didn't want to update. They directed me to where I'd find previous versions. Definitely cool.

Nice. Yeah, even the down Rev versions of Studio One like 2.x and 3.x don't take up much room or HD space. They also make a good reference if something has gone amok in the latest, which is rare, really.

S1-6.2.1, HP Omen 17" i7 10th Gen, 32 GB,512 GB TLC M.2 (SSD),1 TB SSD. Win10 Pro, Audient iD14 MkII, Roland JV90, NI S49 MkII, Atom SQ, FP 8, Roland GR-50 & Octapad. MOTU MIDI Express XT. HR824, Yamaha HS-7, NS-1000M, Yamaha Promix 01, Rane HC-6, etc.

Definitely handy having access to all versions. I use an ancient HP Mini 110 for live multi tracking in clubs. It's 32bit with 2GB max allowable RAM running a stripped down version of Win7....so no SP1 or Platform Update which means I can't even run S13 let alone any version of 4. But hey! No problemo! All I'm doing is recording a few tracks live. I use a Tascam US-800, (very small footprint and lots of I/O), with the Mini pc and S12 Pro. It does exactly what I need it to. Make quality live band multi tracks up in the club.....rock solid, never breaks a sweat and I can fit the whole rig in a small backpack. A lot of the clubs in this area are really tight on space so a little stealth rig is a must.

Sounds good. I would encourage you to have a version there as a backup just in case.. It saved me a few times. Classical pianist, Are we ready?". My buddy brought a mixing board with USB audio with an old codex that wouldn't run in S1 since it was 16 bit, booted Reaper, yep Im ready
