Sometimes when I transform to audio track, S1 hangs up after it renders the first file.
The "time remaining" just keeps climbing. No rhyme or reason to the type of virtual instrument I'm rendering. Very sporadic. Sometimes it just happens. When I try to cancel it, S1 is "not responding" in the Windows Task Manager. I have to hard restart S1. Didn't know if anyone else has had this issue and if/how you solved it. THX! JT |
Has it always done that, or recent? Check background items running, system resources, etc. Rendering is done from internal processing, but I'd check if your computer isn't conflicting with some sound card or other device.
The first render will generate a folder within your song containing those files. Make sure you are saving to the song in its designated place, and not outside the song you're working under. Please add your equipment details, so we're not throwing darts in the dark, Best to add them in your signature when possible. Thx.

Ok. I’ll add to signature later.
Windows 10 with the Studio 6|8. The problem is that it only happens once in awhile. I could kill the program and reopen it and transform a different virtual instrument on another track and it would be fine. I could even open a different project and render that same virtual instrument that gave me problems and it would be fine. |
jasonthompson10 wroteOk. I’ll add to signature later. Thanks. So problems being that inconsistant, it may pay to do 2 things. 1. Open a support ticket. 2. Try further understanding this anomoly on your own. Something like: Start small, with a new song. When it occurs, reopen the song, and see if it repeats with the same instrument (consistantly/sporatically). Note changes). Note if transform is on the same or different drive, external USB, same as S1 program, etc.. Is the behavior consistant . Also note drive type, SSD, HDD, etc. . As Bbd mentioned, more info is helpful. Knowing the Studio One version. Are you using separate or same drives. Drive type, RAM amount, for all we know you have a slower HDD, like a 5400 RPM which is not recommended. That might cause faul ups with data transfer. ............ Best you create a ticket, Jason.

Submitted a support ticket.
If anyone has an issue with this in the future, just merge the events before transforming to audio track. SOLVED. |
