Hi,

I also owned the 6i6 (1st gen) and has the same issues. the only way to get it working properly was by using the betadrivers. I had the same issues The currently supported drivers are from 2014 and terribly outdated.

So if you have the 6i6 1st gen and haven't tried it yet download Scarlett MixControl 1.10b3 from http://beta.focusrite.com/ which contains the needed drivers from the page in the link and install them. They did work fine for me.

Computer: Windows 10, i7-10700K, 16Gb mem, Studio One Pro 5.3 & Cubase Pro 10.5. Audio Interace: RME Babyface Pro FS, BOSS GT-001. Guitars: Blade RH4, Takamine GN51CE. Microphones: AKG C3000, Rode NT1A, Rode M3.

Awesome! Quite a few people come in here wondering about audio dropouts and then when you look at their specs you notice their system is not really up to snuff.

You should still try some of the optimizations others recommended here to squeeze every last drop out of your new CPU.

FWIW, my specs below. I haven't had to do any optimisations on either machine, LatencyMon shows minimal latency (not sure where to get Passmark score, though?). Obviously, I get better performance out of my Main DAW, but I have had no dropouts, crackles or pops on either machine.

Actually, no, I lie ;) I once tried to see what happened with Diva playing a long reverb analogy pad and basically leaned on my keyboard - then it shot through the roof and I got really impressive crackles and whatnot :D

Thanks, mate.

So it basically a benchmark for CPU rather than system (never realised there were so many CPU models out there :)!)

My Main DAW was a custom built audio P by Scan Computers http://www.scan.co.uk/ - the laptop is an MSI Gaming computer
