Really like this new capability. It should make manual tempo mapping even faster.

Seems this old one has been resolved...

"[Windows 7] Application hanging on launch with nVidia drivers newer than v388.71"

There are still a ton of complaints about Waves plugins not appearing, which is worked around by removing all entries in the plugin paths, restarting and putting them back in... which points to Studio One not properly doing a reset when scanning for plugins. Lots of noise in the forums on this.

This has been going on for far too long... why hasn't this one been resolved yet?

• Optimized MIDI update rate for Control Surfaces

Can anyone share some light on this one?

Does this mean they increased the rate that S1 talks to Control Surfaces? Would this help alleviate the chattering noises S1 makes when some less expensive control surfaces are used? Or... might it make the metering usable?

Hello everyone, please can someone help me out?
After the update, my Korg padKontrol and my Midi keyboard are creating random big double sustained notes when I record, the sustain tab isn't displayed though, just the velocity, modulation, pitch bend and aftertouch (these last two were supposed to be filtered).
I was able to use MIDI learn too and now I cant. I tried to delete and configure my controllers as new devices, but I'm still having this issue. Is anybody experiencing the same problem?
Edit 1: My devices are working perfectly at Studio One 3 with the same setup. What's happening??? :?
thanks
Edit 2: Here's the ticket reply I got for whoever is experiencing the same issue:

Try refreshing application settings to see if that helps...
Go to Help>Open Settings folder.
Copy the contents of the folder over to a new folder on your desktop.
Close S1 and delete the contents of the settings folder with the exception of the user.license file as well as the "Extensions" folder.
Open S1 and go to Studio One>Options (Preferences on a Mac) to reconfigure your settings.
Test to see if the problem is resolved. If it is not, please feel free to copy your settings files back over from the backup that you created in step 2.
*If you are missing presets or Sound Sets after doing this, double-click one of your Sound Sets. They're typically located in Documents > Studio One > Sound Sets by default unless you've placed them in another location.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, delete the External Keyboard Device for that keyboard (when it asks to delete the files say yes) and recreate it again and try it to see if the same happens.

Thanks for being patient.

And still no external instrument plugin......
How hard can it be to implement a pipeline for external synths ?

I’m leaving version 3.5 gather dust until it gets added.

For now back on Cubase

Midi is uses as the data stream between hardware devices and Studio One. When certain mixers such as the Series III Studio Live series goes into DAW mode controlling Studio One there may be some lag in say how meters may be responding and metering in both the mixer and the Studio One channel. How tightly synced they might be. This can apply to things like Faderport and ATOM. Certain functions taking time to respond in the mixer perhaps after a command is given in Studio One or the other way around too. How plugins in Studio One respond to movements being made on a screen such as in the Series III.

Midi update rate refers to how quickly things are being handled and tightly synced they might be. The faster the rate the more things will feel responsive and like they are both in very strong sync with each other. It means moving a little quicker under pressure live situations.

External Instruments can be easily recorded now in real time. But it would be nice for External instruments to appear in the mixer which hopefully will allow Faderport to see those tracks. Midi commands being sent from this tracks would also be very helpful at times.

Let's give a nice little bump to this feature request:

IO Settings save and Load
https://answers.presonus.com/6087/io-se ... e-and-load

It may not sound like a big feature, because it is not, it's basic functionality, that's why every DAW has it already.

I've never had any problem using external synths, never used pipeline though.

You're wanting an external instruments implementation like Cubase has?

Or you're wanting to insert a synth on another track?
