I am just getting acquainted with Studio One Artist 4 and today I discovered some apparent "no-no's" with the software and the Audiobox 96 interface.

While editing some tracks, I noticed a low level hum on a vocal track for which I used a good condenser mic (phantom power enabled). The reason for the hum was that I had plugged a high impedance guitar signal from my DigiTech pedal into the other input. So, I guess if you're using the phantom power, you can't have that kind of signal in the other input.

But, interesting enough, I also found that if I used a balanced cable from the guitar pedal (instead of a 1/4" cord) along with the condenser input, there was no hum, but when I struck a chord on the guitar, the signal SOMEHOW seemed to "bleed" into the other input. Odd.
