The sample rate in your song needs to be equal to the sample rate that your Audio Interface is set at.
So ensure your AI sample rate isn't getting changed* and/or ensure (or try) that you export your song at that same rate.

*new version 5 feature, default or bug?

Has anybody found the solution to this problem? I've also tried a few media players, none of which work for my exported mp3's or .wav files.

I have no issues with mixdowns playing for me however, I do seem to have issues for them playing for other people on Facebook messenger.. Its weird because I can send same file to 3 or 4 people and 2 of them will not be able to play it? I can hit the song on their messenger after I send it and it'll play but wont for them on their side..

Maybe stupid but ...
Did you check the "release audio interface" box in the option ?
(If S1 is open and the box is not checked, nothing will play any audio file outside of S1)
And you have to minimize S1 too if you want to play a file ...

Hi everyone. I followed all your instructions but the saved MP3 or wav file would not pley. On the player I can see it but is mute with no sound.

Did any of you found out what is the issue?

Thanks,
Levi

I am having the same problem. My MP3 player is working fine, but anything I mix down in Studio One 5 doesn't play. I have tried MP3 at both 44.1 and 48, using 320, 128, as well as wave, nothing plays. It opens Media player, just sits there, same with Groove. The MP3 files are 11MB with 320 and 4.6 with 128, and the wave was 49MB, so about the right size. This is bizarre. My mixdowns in Cakewalk work fine...

So you are using S1 and you mixed down MP3, and the MP3 does not play. Did you try rebooting your machine without starting S1, and then trying to play the MP3?

This is to do with the possibility of S1 not releasing the sound engine as mentioned above, so doing the reboot and not starting S1 would stop S1 hanging on to the sound engine.

Just my tuppence worth :)

Are you able to play the file from inside S1? (find file in browser)

See if it actually has sound in it. I've had mp3's not play because of sample rate mismatch.

But different interfaces have different methods because some I have no problem doing anything I want to do and others have some problems.

Used to run 48k in the DAW and 44.1k for windows. I changed windows to 48k but it can still play 44.1.

I've had other interfaces that wouldn't play the other sample rate.

Maybe export a 10second version to post...

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same issue and just found the solution. Studio one hogs your audio driver for whatever reason. You will have this issue with anything as long as Studio One is still open. Once you close it, it should work.
