This is strange... updated to 4.0.1 and now this happens.

EDIT - confirmed by Jemusic below on 10.12.6 and win7 64 bit

Adding Presence and Saving Crashes S1 on Mac 10.12.6, creates Crash Report on some Windows OS.

Disabled VST / AU support, tested with Built-in Output / Input as well as my interface.
Mac OS X 10.12.6

Steps:

1. Open new song
2. Drag and drop an EMPTY instance of presence
3. Close the presence window
4. Save the song

Expected result: Saving
Result (for me): Crashing

I have tested this on my system and this does not happen to me.

I have experienced the Melodyne editor bug, but not this one - tested on a new song and on existing songs.

OK so that’s one test on 10.13, I think Jemusic uses 10.12 still so maybe he’ll see this.

like I said seems pretty out of the norm so it could just be something got messed up in updating (has happened almost every update for me, oddly enough) so it looks like the next step will be for me to fully reinstall :-/

Yes I did get this but only if you don't load any sounds into Presence for me anyway. The moment I load a sound into Presence everything saves normally.

So got to ask why would you save a song with an instance of Presence with nothing loaded into it? I agree it is bug though. Not a biggie because it is rare to save with Presence loaded with nothing in it.

In Windows this is also an issue but Studio One does not crash. I just get a warning that something has gone wrong and a crash dump has been created. You can continue to work on with Windows. But like the Mac once you load a sound in, all is fine again.

Thanks for testing Jemusic, glad we got it figured out, was annoying the beJeezus out of me since I have a template with a ton of empty Presence Instruments in it for drag and drop sampling. Some situations the Presence editor fits better than Sample One so they’re in my template for fast use.

Yes I can understand though if you have Presence loaded into a template or several of them but no sounds loaded up then that will be an issue. I have reported.

Okay, I can confirm that crashing on saving still happens in 4.1.0 when an empty instance of Presence is in the song. I'm glad to know what the temporary remedy is...hope this gets fixed soon.

I ran in to this Tuesday in a song i loaded from 3.6.5 into 4.1.
Using my below average troubleshooting skills i did figure it out it was this empty preset.
I can replicate using an empty song on my Win8.1 computer but not on my Win10 computer.
Win8 = Happens every time in 4.1
Win10 = Never happens in 4.1
