I have just opened Studio One to "Create a New Song".
All the song templates I have created and have been using for the past few months have disappeared, and I am only presented with "Empty Song" under the user tab. This happened once before when a lead got yanked out suddenly from my audio interface and SO shut down - no such catastrophe this time. Can someone remind me how I restore my templates? Not sure why this has happened.

You can look with explorer in program files/presonus/studio one 3/templates to see if they're there.
If they're not there then not sure what to do. Well, not sure what you would do if they were there either. At least you can see what's going on. It should read what's there.

What shows up in options locations?
It should get what's in the template folder where S1 is installed, is my theory.

On mine it's where the program is, not the user data:
C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 3\templates

Thanks - I copied my presets to that location, but they still did not appear in the New Song tab.
So, I changed the User Data Location on the screen shot above to c>program files>PreSonus>Studio One 3>templates. My templates then appeared in the list - success! However (1) there are also lots of "shipped" templates that I will never use - I am nervous about deleting these in Explorer in case I screw something up, and (2), I will have to change the default location of every song I start, because by default, they will end up in the templates folder (I think!)

There are 3 tabs at the top of the new song dialog, were you under the user tab?

in version 3 they seem to be labeled with an extension of .songtemplate
Also there seems to be 2 files associated with templates a ".data" file and a ".songtemplate" file. Example mygoodtemplatev365.data mygoodtemplatev365.songtemplate Search for these extensions i guess. If they are deleted somehow and not in recycle bin, they are gone, go to your backup  .
