Hello, is there any way I can get my song to sound something like this?
I want an old, vintage, vinyl cracking sound on my song so it goes well. Is there any plugins or effects I can add to achieve this in Studio One? |
If you want the vinyl sound, Izoptope has a (Free!) plug in called Vinyl:
https://www.izotope.com/en/products/cre ... vinyl.html

Another awesome PlugIn that is`nt free like iZotope`s is:
https://www.waves.com/plugins/abbey-road-vinyl Waves Vinyl together with D16`s Decimort 2 and some more tweaks while using Vintage Emulations, you can get this whole great Old School Sound back, that you`re missing. Especially when you use Elements that were really used in that decade to bring back that Character. Like D`n`B Loops from the early 90`s and so on. Then you could make use of some fine download for free free samples at Music Radar: https://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/free-music-samples-download-loops-hits-and-multis-627820 Please look here under "V" for "Vinyl Style Samples" and under "N" for "502 free noise, hiss and crackle samples" Under other Categorys i found some more. I checked them all and they really sound great and i have them on my HDD. Btw: At my PC i had trouble using iZotope Vinyl. Automations did not record and i received crash`s with earlier versions of SO3 starting from 3.5.1. So that seems really to be the PlugIn. Just a question: I never found Presets for iZotope Vinyl. Did i something wrong? |
A great "vinyl crackle/wobble/etc." plugin that does other great stuff as well is the XLN Audio RC20 Retro Color plugin. It is also half-price right now.
https://www.xlnaudio.com/products/effec ... etro_color From that video you posted, RC20 will get you there with it's saturation choices as well. |
