You're trying to enter license information somewhere inside Studio One?
I installed the download they prepared for me and that was all I had to do. Select an audio file and choose edit with melodyne on the audio menu.

Melodyne is very picky about more than one copy on your system at one time. I suggest that you do a deep scour for any previous versions. Try your hardest remove all evidence of any version of Melodyne on your system and then reinstall from their website.

Assume you are on latest Studio One?
Try uninstalling all versions of Melodyne, then just installing your version (latest from Celemony website). Make sure Studio One is not running. No joy? Uninstall Studio One, do it again. Then install Studio One without Melodyne. No joy? Do the same but install Studio One with Melodyne. Otherwise we do need more detail please as to what the error is, steps to reproduce etc.

its all very simple
the serial number in s1 is not the one i purchased from melodyne my rewire version is the upgraded version with a different look and more features i would like to have my upgrade version in s1 instead of rewire |
Unfortunately that answer just triggers more questions.
Please try to answer my 5 questions. They will lead us on the right path. If you are seeing a different SN then you must have two copies of Melodyne installed on your system, correct?

i have two copies in s1
2" i have vst 3 i have had melodyne for several years i have my own copy and all the upgrades for years 4 i did not install melodyne in s1 5 it came with the version thats in it now i really dont think personus is grasping what i am talking about i just want my version to be in s1 not their different version .....but that serial number that came with personus for melodyne cannot be removed i have my own product serial number for my version this is my last try at this |
news....
when i open up studio 1 in the about screen it shows the serial number for melodyne that is not the correct number of my product and it says melodyne essential i know they have upgraded that but i do not want it anyway..thanks |
You may have to start over with your installs.
If you already had Melodyne you did not need to install another version in fact two versions will not work on the same machine. Start all over and do not install the Melodyne Essential package. First re-installing with a clean plate you should see your original Melodyne accessible via studio one. This is not a VST but an ARA version of it which is available as an integrated component of studio one not a plug-in. If you have not already please create a ticket and someone could potential walk you through it.

jamesrutherford wrotedone that You are wasting your time? Well excuse me sorry for our appalling service. It would have been nice if you bothered responding to me and others but never mind our time.. eh... I suggest you contact Celemony support. Perhaps the quality of service may be nearer to your expectations.

I understand your frustration. At some point in the past I could open Melodyne in Studio One, edit all I wanted but not close it. Can you imagine that? The Melodyne screen not closing? Believe me when I say I understand what you are going through. A service support ticket to Melodyne resulted in nothing but more headaches and questions. The great guys on this Forum gave it their best shot also and I appreciated that greatly. I finally opened a support ticket with Personus. I got a Tech on the phone that seemed very in tune with my issue. He had me try a number of things then finally determined that "All components of Melodyne has to be removed". He was very helpful in making sure I looked and found everything that needed removed off my system. Keep in mind this issue just showed up out of the blue i.e. no upgrades at all or any other stuff that maybe could have affected Melodyne. Once I went through and eliminated all components of Melodyne that I could find I downloaded my version of Melodyne from my account at Celemony. Installed it and all is good and has been for some time now. So, with all that being said you may have to do what I did. Was it a pain - YES. Am i glad it is fixed - YES. Melodyne is a great tool and worth the trouble. I don't think to many people have had the issues both you and I have had. Good luck - Get ahold of Persons support
