First, excuse my bad English

If I make an instrument with my own samples that import into Presence (editor), the samples (my new instrument) consume the double of memory in Presence. Why?

Example, I have 20 samples of 5MB on my hard disk (total = 100MB). But, when imported into Presence, the instrument created consumes 200MB

I did several tests with several sample formats (mono, stereo, 16bit, 24 bit, 32bit) and it's always the same: there is always a multiplication factor of 2. If the total of my samples/instrument is 400MB on disk, in Presence, my instrument does 800MB.
