don't know Ed but they did come out with an update to 4 i think the very next day after it's release which is unusual for them so maybe they fixed it?

as for Ardour... Mixbus is Ardour underneath basically with a face lift. of course with Harrison's EQs and compressors instantiated on the tracks

As, a rehash of an old post. Must be some kind of phase you're going though.

OK, that was an unfortunate, and dumb joke.

I'd be glad if a polarity switch were available. Especially with mic'ing conditions, (guitar, drums, overheads, etc. Just a tad more accessable is all.

Like I mentioned earlier, I'd vote it up. That was 2017.

Now, I simply use the Schepps Omni Channel on everything. I'd put it on my wife's front end washer & dryer if I could. ;)
So mostly no channel goes unturned without it.

Coming from Sonar, I am real accustomed to having that polarity switch handy. Gotta say, it's something I really miss when using S1.

So far, 591 votes here.

Remember: Take the minute to vote!
Voting can only help, because it really shows people go the extra mile to see something voted, and not just suggested, complained about, or pot shot FR,d.

You know how it goes. There were a lot of requests under phase or polarity for different things, but this one had the highest count, and seemed the most visible.

I just voted. That's 592 now. ;)

Yeah, I rather liked the Sonar Mix view. It seemed way too large for my taste, robbing a lot of screen real estate, but it was rather well laid out from a feature standpoint. Nice coloring and easy to digest. Just big.

Cheers.

I don't have a problem with "big", due to failing eyesight. :)

I'm appreciating that statement more and more, especially this past year. I always prided myself on good eye site. Only, I've found myself reading drawings at work with tiny print, or low light very difficult. Only with ambient light do I have the problem, and not illuminated on the screen, but I'm appreciating that concern.

Hope we see a polarity phase inverse soon, as it wouldn't take up hardly any additional space.

i dunno... at first I wanted this real bad. But there are TONS of plugins with phase buttons... including my Console 1.

Now I am actually hoping they don't clutter-up the mix view with a phase button. I mean, how many tracks do you actually use it on in a mix? Not very many. I don't even want the input gain knob anymore either. Again, I hardly ever need it and when I do it's right there on my Console 1... or the Mixtool... or VUMT... or SOC... or any EQ you might use...

I should add that there IS a way to have both trim and a phase button open and available at all times... If you have the Mixtool plugin on every channel, you can just use the "expand" view on each one. Then you have both of them open and available at all times.

LOL looks like the mods are feverishly deleting posts spoiling tomorrow's release.
