I have a Korg nanoPAD2 that I can use in GarageBand. I am trying to use it with Studio One / Steven Slate Drums but I cannot seem to get the program to recognize the hardware. Do you have any setup instructions or tips for me.

Here ya go:

1. Make sure the Nanopad is plugged before you open Studio One.
2. Once you launch S1, at the start page choose "Configure External Devices"
3. At the bottom left, click "Add"
4. Choose "New Keyboard"
5. In the "Receive From" drop down, you should see the nanoPad listed.
6. Choose the nanoPad (If running Vista or XP it will only say USB Audio Device)
7. In the Device Name type "nanoPad"
8. Now hit apply and then OK

Now drag in an Instrument from the browser and test.

Note: Remember, all of this is also in the manual that comes under the help menu in Studio One 2. Just letting you know.

I did all that. Ene though when I open the Impact instrument and select Nanopad-2 as the input, when I press the pads, no sound emanates. What would be the problem here ?

Are you Arming the Track?
Are you making sure there is a kit loaded?

Not trying to be condescending, these are common thing some people miss.
