Does anyone know if Studio One Pro V3 is compatible with the focusrite Saffire Pro 40 interface?

I don't see why it wouldn't. I own two Focusrite interfaces, and they both work with S1 with no issues. Your system has a FW800 port on it. You just need a FW 400 to 800 cable and you should be good.

I already ordered my 400/800 FireWire cable and just need to order a Thunderbolt adapter and I should be good to go.

yeah you should be fine, I use the Sappire Pro 24 DSP with no issues

Using Saffire Pro 40/S1v3 with Win 10 currently and used the same interface/S1 setup on my iMac previously - no problems for me. Regards...
Windows 10 Pro/i7 6800k @3.4Ghz/16Gb ram. Studio One 6 Pro, Melodyne Editor, Vocalign Project 5, Superior Drummer 3, Izotope Music Production Suite 6, Komplete 13 and various other plugins. Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Faderport, Focal Alpha 50's, Korg Pa3x, Korg Pad Kontrol, numerous guitars, basses & other antiquated outboard gear.
Maybe one day I'll actually finish a project! |

If using Win10 the FireWire driver should be set as legacy IF you run into issues with the interface, and that's about it.

I've used the Saffire Pro 40 with s1v2, s1v3, and s1v4 with no problems on both mac and windows.

I’ve been using it for quite a while now. Works great.
