I Issued a support ticket but was referred to ask on this forum, I'm using an Elgato Stream Deck for keyboard shortcuts and have been for the last year or so, it has randomly stopped working in my studio one 4.6.2.58729

Now the Elgato Stream deck works fine with other programs and notepad, my main use is for studio one.
I have also done the usual, uninstalled Elgato Stream deck software, reinstalled, changed USB ports and tested two other hubs, it only seems to be studio one affected by this.

Quick Example, I have shortcuts set for bounce, quantize, duplicate, split at grid, transpose... etc None of them work... in studio one but if I open note pad I can see them being typed out.

Can you suggest anything in studio one to check? anyone else have the same issue?

just a side note... I'm not ready to transfer over to V5 just yet and would like to keep using V4 for the next few months (I have a few projects I need to finish in V4). The Elgato Stream Deck is massively part of my workflow as I don't have to remember any shortcuts.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Many Thanks
TJ

Stream Deck suggests not using a USB hub but, rather, plugging directly into your computer. You might be OK if your hub is a powered hub. Strange it work fine with some apps and not others but the hub may be contributing to the issue. Not an expert but a thought.

I have had similar issues with other USB devices that have lights or displays. That power has to come from somewhere, so if you are connecting to a USB hub I highly recommend using a powered hub. YMMV

I'm somewhat surprised the StreamDeck XL is able to run off USB power with all those button displays. There are fewer (non-color) displays on my Faderport8, and it requires an AC adapter. In its defense, it does have over 50 lightable buttons. LOL
