There's also the menu option missing to show the sample in the pool.

And I just checked: Impact XT doesn't have its samples in the pool at all.

How is this meant? Can you only use third party samples to build an Impact?

Please include your specs. When did it stop working for you? Dragging from pool works for me.

Well, I have Studio One 4 Artist.

I upgraded yesterday from Artist 3 where it always worked.

The definite issue here is that there is no entry in the context menu of the Impact pads for selecting the sample in the pool.

Which means that if it works for you, you possibly have the Pro version and the function was removed from Artist??

Yes, I have Studio One 4 Pro. Here's the choices I get. What are you seeing?

The same in SO 4.

In SO 3 there's also "Select in Pool" ?

In SO 3 when I select a preset in Impact the samples are being shown in the Pool.

With Impact XT this doesn't happen.

I went back to SO3 and see that option as well. Let me check to see if there's a reason that it's not included in SO 4.

I have just the situation:

I have an Open Hihat with Cutoff open on 1 (beat) and two with lower Cutoff and Velocity on 3 and 4.

Now I want the first on 1 to play out (over the other two) and not being choked but the other two should get choked.

This means, I need the same sample on two other pads and let them get choked by the next pad's sample respectively. How do I copy the sample to another pad? Means, I need to be able to handle the sample itself. If it's not reachable I can't achieve this.

The only workaround would be to record the sample. Then you could drag it from the pool.

I consider doing this anyway - I mean recording all the Impact samples. Copy protection: goodbye

I was going to say they change the location and how the store the soundsets used in Impact in 4.1

I mean, at least for electronic music, searching sounds is about half the time for creating a track.

Some kind of "Browse Instrument", where you left side select a category and right side have all samples each on a keyboard key in several banks would be great.

I'm trying out Sampler right now for holding all my samples for easy searching. But a specialized device for sorting and ordering your samples which are automatically bound to the keyboard would be much nicer than the mouse click orgy every time in the browser.

Hold a modifier and drag copy it to another pad.
