Have a look a the contributors to the forums one year ago or two or three. Follow the names, read the date of their last activity here (log-in). This speaks for itself. Many names/people are gone. The figure 52035 is random. It may also be 54897 or 21359 or... Only the members of Mod Squad know the statistics. How many "members" does the forum have with one or three posts, written in 2016 or 2009...?

I simply want to say that new members does not mean that everything goes on like it used to be. There are changes happening, bad ones and good ones.

Well you guys can think what you like. But if I get my way, threads like this won't be here either much longer.

My only point in this particular thread is that the members are increasing even when the link from the main site is gone. period.
The other contributions are entirely what others put into the title.

Hell, why not go back to 2009-10 while we are at it. Simple fact of the matter is that people come and go on forums all the time. The folks that make this fun for me are the ones that pop in from time to time to say hello.

If we want to lament the list of the fallen, we should do it in context. Presonus has grown as a company over the years, as we can all see from the product line. With growth comes challenges. While they used to have more time to post in the forums, the reality of the situation is that they are busier now to support the infrastructure of the company. For the last couple of years, their input in the forums has been on the decline, and rightfully so. These forums have always been, and will continue to be, user driven. It always has been.

What many people that were not around in the early days of the previous forum (http://forumsarchive.presonus.com/forums/list.page) may not realize, is that Johnny Geib (themuzic), may be the single person that made the Presonus Forums what they are. His interactive videos, and tireless efforts to help people learn Studio One (V1), created and environment of learning, helping, and teaching, that was totally user driven. It made me want to stick around and pay that forward, as it did many others. With the revamping of operations, we are re-energizing that environment. We are hoping that we will be successful, but the community will determine that. We have a host of things we would like to implement, all designed to engage the userbase, on a platform that would be impossible to do on social media. All we ask is for a bit of time to get that organized and running. Remember, the admin of the forums are not employees of Presonus. We all have other obligations outside of this in our everyday lives, so we need to strike a new balance moving forward. We do this because we like the product, the people that produce it, and the users that use it. To reduce that down to a link removal, and cries of the demise of the forum, is to not understand how we all came to be here.

So yes, there are some members that have left over time. Some have had health issues. Some have fallen on hard times. Some have moved on to other platforms and products, and some have actually taken jobs with Presonus. And some, bless their hearts, are actually producing music. Its life, it happens, we roll with it. We will lose some more users, and we will gain some more users. There are things that a forum offers that can not be done on any other platform. Everyone needs to decide for themselves, whether the removal of a link is grounds for leaving forever. Only an individual can decide that for him(her)self, but let's not continue to try and influence the decision for others. If we keep doing that, then the forums become a repository for complaints and nonsense. It forces the forums to become the very thing that everyone is lamenting is going away.

I'm happy to hear that it worked out for you.
For me it has been working almost all the time and what you read here in the forum is often the bad stories.
Then again this is why this forum is here, to help each other if problems arise I think.
Its a very small percentage with problems I guess and sometimes it seems as its bigger as you dont hear the good stories.
When everything is working we do stuff, and then there is nothing to complain about except ourselves.
I think that nowhere in the soundcard/mixer world do we get same kind of dedication as here.
