I'm gearing up to make the switch from DP. On the extended (mac) keyboard, with DP, I could use the number pad for all sorts of commands. #3 for record, 2 for pause, 1 rewind, etc. Another really handy command is midi pause/record...waiting for input from a midi note....accessible via the number pad, as well. Any similar keyboard command options in SP.

You can set up the key commands any way you like in the keyboard shortcut configuration section.
Numpad keys are currently mapped for marker navigation. I'm on a small Apple keyboard in the studio and on a laptop so I can't test the actual functions for you now.

I also have a shortcuts question. Can anyone give me a link to a visual map of all the default S1 shortcut keys that I can print out?
It would be really useful to have that near the computer.

If you go to the Help menu, there is a keyboard shortcut option. If you select that it will give you a dynamic overview of all keyboard shortcuts you have set-up.
If you change any assignment in the options/preferences it will automatically be displayed here as well.
It opens inside your browser and can easily be printed from there.

But I was kind of hoping for an actual graphical representation of the keyboard. Maybe I'll have to make my own... I just find it a good way to learn the keys, quickly.

There was one with version one. It will be missing a few newer options but I bet someone can send it to you.
