I see Fishman is set to release their guitar to MIDI wireless converter. Looks very promising and comes bundled with software including a version of Studio One 2. Overall, I wonder what this will do for the world of MIDI guitar?

I've been keeping a close watch on this puppy since they first showed it off at NAMM.....looked like it was going to be vaporware
there for a while. From what I can see it tracks as well as the Axxon converters....no surprise since it was developed by the
same guy. I don't see where it's bringing anything really groundbreaking to the table although I suppose combined with
it's software package you can do some neat tricks in the studio. Having to use a computer limits is usefulness in a live
situation IMHO. There is also a polyphonic MIDI guitar VST plugin in development. I have been beta testing it and it works
quite well for what it is:

Hey cristofe,
I am also using the MIDI VST by Jamorigin. I like it. I guess the only thing new to th MIDI game is that Fishman has created a way to be cable free. I can see your point in that it may be cumbersome in a live situation with a notebook/laptop.

I agree that aspect is very cool. Perhaps if they have enough initial success with it they could develop
a standalone converter like the AX-50 that the USB receiver could plug into eliminating the need for
a computer and allowing the use of hardware synth modules....I'd be all over something like that.

But that's not going to stop me from getting a Triple Play in the meantime!
