SETTING UP PARALLEL COMPRESSION

i AM COMING FROM A PRO TOOLS DAW AND USED PARALLEL COMP THERE BUT WITH THE WAY THE BUS AND AUX'S ARE SETUP IN STUDIO ONE IT IS CONFUSING TO ME ON HOW SPECIFICALLY TO SETUP PARALLEL COMPRESSION. COULD YOU PLEASE SPECIFIC.

Create Buss. On the track you want parallel compressed click the + on Sends and choose the buss you just created. This creates a parallel track. I usually like to have this set to pre-fader. Then put your compressor on the buss and parallel compress away.

heres the routing i used in protools for parallel comp.

Theres a compressor on my insert on my vocal mixer channel,
output was bus 1/ and send had bus 2 on this vocal channel.
1 mono aux track had input as bus1/output bus2 and this aux track had a compressor on its insert.
the second aux track had input bus 2 and out put was the main output channel.

Is what you just explained for the parallel compressor in studio one the exact same as this protools setup, getting the "exact same" end result
