No Audio from keystation 49 e

Hi,
I have an M Audio keystation 49e connected to a Digidesign MBOX 2. The Key Board is connected from the Midi out to the Midi in on the mbox . I can see the levels change on the instrument track when I hit a key ,but I hear no audio. I am not sure of the settings for the Audio device and external device. I would be grateful for any help .

had the same problem with my 88es if it usb try using a different plug... edit nm i didn't read that close enuf the first time you running midi may need to make sure everything syncd up

Did you drag a VSTi to the track? You will see midi activity, but there needs to be an instrument on the track, record enabled, for you to get sound.

....and make sure you added the keyboard as an external device not an external instrument.
