So, over a year after the Behringer X32 was announced, there is still no sign of it coming out any time soon... well, at least not over here in New Zealand. Anyone else heard anything more? I'm thinking there might be more details at NAMM this year...
Any thoughts as to how it compares to the StudioLive?

There's another thread on this in here somewhere. Lot of folks chiming in and then also the standard Behringer bashing. A good search will likely find it for you. I can't seem to find it here but my brain isn't working so good at 3 AM.

My guess is that Behringer bit off a lot more than they could chew with the X32. I'm at a loss as to how they'll be able to do it at all at the price point they are talking about. If it works, and works well, it will certainly offer a lot of bang for the buck.

Given the non-roll-out situation, I can only imagine that they are having trouble getting all of the promise into the box(es) at the expected price, or having trouble getting it all to play nice, or both. If I was a betting man, I'd say there was a pretty good chance they'd abandon the concept, or change it to make it more do-able.

For now I think there is a real and proven practicality of the SL series. Nothing compares (or even comes close) with the SLs at their price point.

No, it is not out. It has issues, and when it is released, it will not work completely as advertised, because certain key components have not been manufactured. I would not hold my breath. If Behringer does not have one passing audio and fully operable at Winter NAMM, lots of people will remain skeptical and they might miss their window of opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. There is no better way to cost yourself some sales than to pimp a box of lights for TWO YEARS and not deliver the full package.

I gotta agree with you on that point Brent. I really hope for Behringer's sake this thing isn't vaporware.

And Kibo, thanks for the link. Was my birthday yesterday and I couldn't think at all when I was trying to search for it.

Nope. It is not. March 30th is the new ETA. Their Aviom knockoff has no ETA.

If what the Behringer guys are saying at NAMM is anything to go by, that thing should be shipping in the next month or so...
I'm liking the adjustments they've made since the original announcement last year
