Hi guys

I just got my Firestudio Project but I'm still waiting for my new computer.

I hookup my Rode condensor mic to Input #1 and turned on the phantom power. Plugged in my headphones to the front headphone jack and played with the levels. I can't hear anything.

Meter levels on channel #1 shows on input signal. Also the synch light is alternately flashing blue/red.

What am I doing wrong?

i am almost sure that when i got my FSP, the faders on the dsp mixer were down, so i had to raise the input/ output volumes, perhaps yours is in the same predicament, i hope nothing is wrong with it.

I checked the levels on the input channel, I can see the led meter bouncing into yellow. Turned up the headphone jack but can't hear anything. What do you mean by dsp mixer? Right now, i don't have my FSP hooked up to a computer, but I thought it would still amplify my mic and I could monitor it thru the headphones.

To make matter worse, the user's manual I received is all *^&% up with duplicate pages and several missing pages. I went to the download site to d/l a new copy of the manual and seems the FSP manual is the only one NOT available for their products. sheeesh!

Ok, thanks. I thought it could work as a stand alone.

Actually it works as a stand alone but you got to configure it first with your computer.
I received mine last friday and my first attempt was to connect a mic in to an input, switch phantom power on and nothing, then I connected it to my laptop and set it up and everything worked like a charm!!!

Be patient or borrow a computer while yours arrives.

Good luck!!!
