Hi fellows,

I'd like to ask if is normal that Sonar detects the FSP as a 44.1 and 48 Khz only interface.
When the FSP is set to 44.1 (in the Firecontrol app), sonar's wave profiler detects the FSP only as 44.1 and 48 Khz and says 88.2 and 96 Hkz are not available. Now if i select 96 (in the Firecontrol app) sonar's wave profiler detects the FSP only as 88.2 and 96 Khz and says 44.1 and 48 Hkz are not available.
I've never owned a firewire interface before and maybe this is normal, could someone confirm??

This is the second FSP (because the first one came defective with bad preamps) and is not something that bothers me because I work almost exclusively on 24/44.1 but my old Maudio Audiophile 24/96 is detected with all the sample rates it supports though is a pci interface.

Anyway, in the couple of hours that I've been testing the FSP it is working very good with Sonar PE 7.0.1. using the supplied drivers 3.0.0.70.

Thanks as always for your time.

i don't know if this helps, but when i use tracktion 2, before i can set the sample rate at the DAW, I have to set it at the Fire Control Panel, then at the DAW, then restart the Driver (at the restart driver button on tracktion), it also works by restarting tracktion, i've never tried sonar, so sorry if this was useless to you.

Thanks josemitre,
No useless at all!!
I'am thinking that sample rates can't be switched from a DAW with the FSP and maybe that is the reason Sonar detects just two at a time.
I've read somewhere that this is normal for almost all firewire interfaces.

Again this is something that doesn't bother me at all, just want to know if it is normal.
