Hey everyone

I just recieved my brand new firestudio project in the mail today to find that it had a dud fuse which i replaced and the unit powers on fine now (probably due to the fact that it was shipped from the US with a 110v fuse and I'm in Australia using 240v :S). I have loaded up all the drivers and software and am trying to use it with Sony Acid Pro 6.

My problem is, after a few minutes of use, the unit powers off and turns it self back on again over about 5 seconds mid way through whatever i may be doing at the time, even if not recording. I am stumped.

Thanks for reading I hope someone can help.

Umm... I'm no electrician, but if there's a fuse, it means there's something inside that can't take any power above that fuse's rating.... I think you are frying the insides of your FSP. But, like I said, I'm no electrician, and I don't know how the FSP power supply is set up. Did you get a specifically 240V - equipped FSP? Do you have any other 110V electronic devices that work when you plug them into 240?

Just jam a piece of metal in the fuse holder.

I'M KIDDING!!

Greetings

I am an electrical apprentice so I have a clue. Yeah I have checked it all out. They are supposed to work on 110-240 volts as marked on the back of the unit. It says so in the product specs. It isn't the fuse anymore I am prettys sure, as the unit is powering on and is able to be used for a period of time.

Just read the specs at the bottom of THIS PAGE (http://www.presonus.com/firestudio_project-specs.html) in black and white!
