Hello,
I just bought a central station and I set it up to monitor a mp3 player to my stereo amp through the trs and aux inputs and after a number of hours of listening to music 1 channel (1/2 of stereo) went out.
I tried switching inputs, trs 1, 2 and aux and outputs 1, 2 and 3 but 1/2 of the channel didn't restore. Mono, dim, reversing L/R feeds I tried everything
The headphone jacks had stereo, just not the outputs. And the meters registered on each channel
The only way I found to restore it was to unplug the unit and plug it back in.
Is this normal? Is there a safty feature or something that could have switched 1/2 the output off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Tom

This definitely isn't normal ... does it happen every time?
Are you using the Central Station Remote? If you are, then disengage the remote button, remove the remote, reconnect the remote then reingage the remote button on the Central Station.
If you're not using the remote, then engage the remote button then disengage it.

I don't have the remote.
It happened only once...so far.
I set it up last night to get farmiliar with it before I patch it in to my system in a rack. I listened to 3 hrs of music through it checking out the various routings and went to bed. When I woke up in the morning I turned the amplifier on and there was only one channel. The unit was on all night long as I slept if that matters.
So when I left for work today and left it on 7:00am EST to as I type this at 1:17pm EST. Both channels still working  Wierd????
Anything else I should check? Intermittent problems are a pain!

Ok,
Problems have seemed to escalate with my central station over the past 2 months....
This is what I am experiencing now...
---Speaker outputs A + B have a problem with the right channel. The volume drops, I crank the volume on the CS and sound comes back to the correct volume. I checked the cabling and other sets of monitors. Output C works correctly for now.
--- When I plug in a TRS or TS jack into the cue or main outputs for studio feeds for head phone, mains the control room volume changes.
--- When I press the talk back button, customers are starting to complain of hearing a big *click* sound when the button is engaged. They say it hurts their ears. I auditioned myself and it is really loud no matter how softly I press the talk back button.
I'm not sure what to do.. I've had the CS unit for almost a year, was a demo unit without a reg card.
Is the Central Station worth repairing??? In all my years, this is the 1st piece of gear to give me problems, so I am blessed there. Just looking for a little guidance before I step forward, which I must.
ciao,
Tom
