I have a laptop ASUS A6Km, and a firepod. The firewire interface of the laptop seems not to be compatible, clicks...The OS is Windows XP.
I have bought a PC MIAfirewire card with TI chipset. It seems to work well with cubase LE but after few minutes of works, the communication with the firepod is broken (no audio signal received on cubase).
When I restart cubase, the communication returns for some minutes
Could someone help me ?
Thank's

I have a similar problem. I have a belkin TI chipset PCMCIA card on a new thinkpad running XP pro fresh install (downgrading from vista b/c firepod wouldn't wok no matter what I did), latest drivers. Everything gets recognized, light is blue, but recording conks out after a minute or a few minutes, then I have to reload the software after unplugging and replugging the card...then its ok for a few more minutes...could this be a latency problem? SHould I try increasing that in the FP control panel? Have been struggling for months to get the **** thing to work reliably...kind of sorry I bought it at this point, but I have been trying so many different things the return period expired so now I'm stuck with it. Wish it would work as it looks like a good card audio processor for what I need.

Crossing my fingers here, but after going through the faq entry here:
http://www.presonus.com/psfaq/index.php?sid=1&lang=en&action=artikel&cat=40&id=28&artlang=en
and making the adjustments I got one perfect hour of recording. Then the next week could not record.....went back to the faq and went through it again....turns out it does not like my wireless being on, which is a drag, but ok, I guess I can live with that. With the wireless off it has been running without a problem for about 20 minutes now......
