turn off the firebox?

Hi all,

I'm a very new user (first message in this forum) and recently bought the firebox.
I was just wondering: should I turn it off (IE: disconnect the firebox cable) when I'm not using it?

What's the recommendation?

Not really necessary, I have mine on all the time.

What about when i'm rebooting the PC?

Its really no big deal. When you reboot it will lose sync and then power, Then re-power up again and re-sync again. Its really a tough little unit. Enjoy

I guess you can do it either way, i sometimes record for 2 or 3 days and it is on most of the time, but then if i know i am not going to use it for several days i unplug it. I normally keep my computers, satallite system etc. on all the time, but it is good to reboot all the systems periodically, when i am not using the firebox i unplug it.

I am a novice with the firebox, but this procedure has worked well so far.
