Firepod Problems w/ the new GarageBand

I installed the new iLife'08 which comes with a new version of GarageBand. Now, the main level button on my firepod doesn't control my speakers anymore. Anyone else having this problem? I can't record with this problem.

You need to go to prefrences in GarageBand and under audio/midi you can choose the output -either built in (speakers connected to the mac directly) or the firewire interface (as long as its synced up)
