I just replaces my Lexicon Omega(USB) with a Firebox. I am using Cubase LE on a Mac G4 with OSX 10.3.9, and 2 GB Ram. I have never had any playback issues with the Omega. Now with the New Firebox I have Crackling and popping when playing back any audio. I see there are several instances of this with PCs which is why I bought a MAC to begin with. I Havent found any type of solution for this on a MAC. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I am in interface Hell.

Have you:
Disabled wireless?
Repaired Disk Permissions on the hard drive(s)?
Tried raising the buffer size in your software?

I have to assume you know how to disable wireless...
As for the disk permissions thing, pretty sure you go to th HD, Click on Applications, Utilities and run the Disk Utility. Google it...
In Cubase, try setting the buffer size to 128 or 256 (probaly at 32 or 64 now). Should be apparent in the settings.

Hello, I'm actually having the same problem it sounds like. I'm using a FS project though... When you say disable the wireless, I'm just turning off my airport. I'm running Leopard and the "disable wireless" part of my network utility wasn't in the same place as I'm used to. Is this correct? As for the rest, I've also tried everything listed there. I'm running at 512 samples too just to see! Please let me know if you have any luck!
(Sorry about the FS Project post in this thread, but I am also in interface hell)
