Red Light forever!!!????

Hi-
i've seen many posts on similar issue, but I am yet to read a remedy.

After re-connecting/re-wiring my whole setup the Firebox is no longer recognized by Windows XP.
Texas instruments Firewire card that I inserted into a DIFF slot, and re-installed / Removed all Presonus Firebox references on my comp / re-installed the original driver CD / restarted the PC and still a red light.
Today, I downloaded the new Driver version and repeated the above -
nothing!
Is there something I am missing? What's happened to my Firebox and how do I get this to work without sending it in for repair?

i too went to hell and back, different cables, different machines- AND sent mine in for repair- still no solution =[ i think what it has to do with is the loose wobbly firewire connectors, getting so loose that you can actually put the cable in upside down by accident if you don't look first, and i think this fries something inside. i don't know. but i paid for repairs and it still doesn't work and i am extremely displeased!!

Something may have flashed out the firewire chip inside the FireBox.

Or there may be something going on with the Firewire connection/card on the computer.

If you can, the best thing to try is installing it on another computer to see if it will install.

It may be the FireBox, it may be something in the computer.

Yes, if you make the mistake of connecting a Firewire cable upside down to any device - it will typically blow something internally.

The ports can be a bit loose, but you still should not be able to connect the firewire cable in upside down easily.

Your repair came back and it still did not work?

ive got danger with this 4.1 update got all downloads firmware ect.still red light stays on on firebox every thing good untill i plug box in ta pc

hey had same problem E-mail tech support
they got back to me with in 2 days(weekend)
Get driver 2.42 it seemed to get my fp-10 working.
got a blue light!:D
