Hello!
Ive got Problems with my Firebox. It works fine until some Action(an App needs a lot of CPU resources, i switch windows, ...) messes it up completely.
With the old firebox driver Audio Output began to stutter (the firebox led stays blue all the time, so apparently no synching issues). After dis- and reconnectiong the device it worked again until some other Action messed it up, and so on..
I installed the new Driver(2.46) today. Now instead of a studdering output signal i get a crackling background noise with the signal when the firebox fails. Reconnecting the firebox helps for a while like it did before.
My System is
Acer Travelmate 8210
Core 2 Duo Processor
2gb RAM
Intel chipset
ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 Graphics Card
FW 400 Cardbus Card (VIA Chipset) (the problems are worse with onboard Firewire)
Windows XP SP2
(I use the firebox on another (Desktop) PC and there it works like a charm(although i had similar problems with another mainboard there))
I tried the Suggestions i could find (switching cpu usage, scheuling priorities, dma, ...) but the symptoms stayed the same.
Id appreciate any help
thanks
Chris
